BOUNDARIES

Iowa Great lakes roadrunner style derby.

East Lake, West Lake, Big Spirit, Upper and Lower Gar, and Minnewashta are all in play.

Center Lake is not eligible waters.

Please be cautious in the small canals due to boat traffic. Do not obstruct or block any boat traffic lanes.

Once launched in-bounds anglers may paddle/pedal/power anywhere to compete as long as they do not leave the kayak. Portaging around obstacles or dragging through shallow water is not allowed.

Practice period ends at 6pm on May 17.

Anglers must be off the water by this time.

Ketch measuring bords only.

12″ minimum length requirement.

This 2-day event will give Anglers 15 total hours of on the water time to catch 10 bass for a final tournament score. Fish can be caught on either day or both.

*After day 1 competition has ended anglers will have until the photo submission deadline to upload that days catch. Fish caught on day 1 cannot be submitted on day 2.

TourneyX will auto cull and track scores.

Day 1 –

First launch 5:30am

Competition begins at 6:00am

Competition ends at 3:30pm.

Photo submission deadline is 4:30pm.

No in person check in on day 1. Anglers will check in and out using the TourneyX app feature.

Day 2 – First launch 5:30am

Competition begins at 6:00am

Competition ends at 12:30pm.

Photo submission deadline is 1:30pm.

Awards will be held at the Okoboji resort at 2:30pm.

-This modern hotel next to Brooks National Golf Club is 0.9 miles from Spirit Lake Municipal Airport and 7.2 miles from Elinor Bedell State Park.

Relaxed rooms have flat-screen TVs, minifridges, microwaves, coffeemakers and free WiFi. Some offer pull-out sofas, patios and/or golf course views. Suites add whirlpool tubs and separate living areas with leather furniture.

Amenities include golf course access, an outdoor pool (seasonal), a hot tub, a sauna and a deck. There’s also a casual restaurant/bar and a kids’ indoor play pool, plus meeting and event rooms. A business center and a beauty salon are also provided.

RELEASE OF LIABILITY: Participant agrees to hold MoYak LLC and its successors, AAKS, assignees, licensees, partners, dealers, employees and volunteer staff harmless for any liability from any injury or damage arising from the participation of this event.
