The All American Kayak Series, the midwest’s largest regional kayak tournament fishing organization, announced Sunday that the 2022 Everhart’s Outdoors Kentucky Lake tournament will take place March, 19-20.

The two-day event, hosted by the Kentucky Lake Convention and Visitor’s Bureau, will allow participating anglers to launch from any public access anywhere on the lake in pursuit of giant bass and thousands of dollars in cash and prizes.

The Kentucky Lake Convention & Visitors Bureau is excited to host the upcoming All-American Kayak Series in 2022! “The northern side of Kentucky Lake was introduced to kayak fishing several years ago and I am very happy to be able to expand the sport of kayak fishing on Kentucky Lake with this new series!” said Elena Blevins, Executive Director of the Kentucky Lake Convention & Visitors Bureau. “I really think our landscape here at Kentucky Lake can provide great opportunities for kayak anglers while also presenting as a challenge at times just due to our sheer size; it’s a good mix! Our fishery has gone through some major changes recently, and it’s been interesting to watch anglers adapt and re-learn how to fish our waters. I think kayak anglers are poised to lead the way in how Kentucky Lake will fish in the future!”

“I’m excited to take AAKS to Kentucky Lake next year, I wish I could fish it!” said Joshua Boothe, President of the All American Kayak Series. “It’s the perfect time to be there.” he continued.

“This lake is in a comeback phase, it’s had its issues with carp but it has been putting out some monster bags of bass this year.” agreed Tyler Cole, AAKS Tournament Director.

The 2022 AAKS is a 10-tournament circuit devoted to kayak anglers who love to fish in the midwest region of the United States, with venues spanning from Texas to Michigan throughout next season.

Not only does the AAKS provide multiple paths to their end-of-the-season championship called The All American Kayak Classic, but they also invite the top 10 in AOY from every partner club in the nation along with the winners of qualifying events to advance as well. The All American is hosted by Everhart’s Outdoors, and is held annually at Truman Lake near their headquarters in Clinton, MO. Visit allamericankayakseries.com for more information.
